أشاد رونالد كومان المدير الفني لنادي برشلونة، بلاعبه الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي ونجم الفريق، خاصة بعد تسريبات عقده مع برشلونة.

وقامت صحيفة “آل موندو” الإسبانية، بتسريب عقد ميسي الخرافي مع برشلونة، حيث يصل إجمالي ما تقاضاه الأرجنتيني الدولي مع العملاق الكتالوني لمبلغ 555 مليون يورو.

ليونيل قاد برشلونة للفوز بثنائية مقابل هدف على أتلتيك بلباو، وسجل الهدف الأول للبلوجرانا في المباراة. “طالع التفاصيل”

وقال كومان بعد المباراة في المؤتمر الصحفي: “ليونيل ميسي لاعب يسعى دائمًا للفوز، ويريد إظهار ذلك في كل مباراة”.

وأضاف: “التسريبات تعبر عن نية سيئة، ومحاولات لهدم الاستقرار والعلاقة بينه وبين النادي، لذلك يجب أن نرد عليها بأن نتحد”.

وأكد: “لا يمكن أن نطمح في تحقيق أشياء كثيرة هذا الموسم بدون ميسي، علينا أن نكون واضحين أمام أنفسنا”.

وشدد: “إذا كان الشخص الذي سرب عقد ميسي من داخل برشلونة، لن يكون له مكانًا في النادي، لأن هذا يهدف لإيذاء ليونيل والنادي”.

واختتم: “لابد من الجميع احترام ميسي، لأنه ليس شخصًا عاديًا، يجب أن نحترم ما قدمه لهذا النادي طوال تاريخه”.

Ayoze Perez’s move to Leicester signalled a new transfer record for the club.

A £30m fee was paid to Newcastle for his services, but only a matter of days later, they were smashing it again for Youri Tielemans.

After his superb performance on loan at the club last term, contributing to seven goals, it’s likely he’ll be the more marquee signing.

However, there is plenty to look forward to from Perez as well, who found the net 12 times for a Newcastle side who ended up finishing 13th in 2018/19.

On the chalkboard

Perez developed quite the partnership in attack with Salomon Rondon last season at the Magpies.

Between them, they scored 23 goals in the Premier League, finding a rhythm that was arguably not bettered by many others in the division.

Yet, it’s the words of Rondon, rather than his performances that should be music to the ears of not only the entire Leicester side, but Jamie Vardy in particular.

In quotes noted by The Telegraph back in March, he had plenty to say about the Spaniard, commenting:

“It feels like me and Ayoze understand each other on the pitch. We know how each other plays, where he will be running, when to pass and the gaffer helps us too. We play like a team. He is not selfish.

“It’s the kind of thing we work on together on the training ground. He brought the defenders towards him.”

What should come as the biggest comfort to 18-goal Vardy is the fact that the 25-year-old isn’t selfish and as a result, he might be able to help the former find the net even more next campaign.

The Leicester man is a different striker to Rondon, however, boasting the ability to run in behind, rather than hold the play up.

However, the powerful forward’s recognition of the fact Perez knows when to pass could be crucial.

Last term, he only claimed two assists but he did make 1.2 key passes per game, a statistic that was the same as Tielemans during his loan spell.

That could give plenty of encouragement to Vardy, who should take reassurance from the creative quality Perez possesses.

If the former England international can link-up with the club’s new signing as well as Rondon did, Leicester could be even more powerful heading into the future.

Some West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was reported by L’Equipe (via Get French Football News) that there is interest from the Hammers in Monaco full-back Djibril Sidibe.

The east Londoners have reportedly enquired about the France international’s availability, and it is believed that the Ligue 1 side’s asking price for the former Lille man is just €15m (£13.5m).

Loads of Leeds United fans on Twitter are split after an eagle-eyed supporter believes he caught a glimpse of the club’s new away shirt during highlights of the pre-season clash with Cagliari at the weekend.

The Yorkshire outfit have already released their home kit in what is their centenary year, but as of yet there has been no sign of the one they will wear on their travels during the 2019/20 campaign.

However, one individual spotted owner Andrea Radrizzani’s son wearing what appears to be a charcoal-coloured shirt with pink trim against Cagliari in a video posted by the club, which has since been deleted, edited and put up again.

That in itself suggests it was something that wasn’t supposed to be shared just yet, and Whites supporters on the popular social media platform are certainly split on their thoughts on the jersey.

While many are firmly against it with someone even describing it as being “hideous”, there are plenty of others who are fans with one even going as far as saying they “love it”.

So one of the transfer sagas of the summer has finally come to an end. Romelu Lukaku’s name dominated the headlines since the end of last season, and had been linked with a move to Italy virtually all summer.

Reports in recent weeks had seen a lot of twists and turns over where the Belgian’s next destination would be, and it appeared to be a straight fight between Inter and Juventus for his services.

However, following the collapse of a proposed swap deal involving Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, Inter came storming back into the race and have now finally got their man.

As confirmed by Manchester United’s official website, Lukaku has completed a move to Inter, whilst Sky Sports report that the fee involved in taking the Belgian to the Nerazzurri is around £73m.

After hearing the news the 26-year-old had finally departed Old Trafford, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the saga finally ending.

Many supporters of the Manchester side were fuming with the decision to let Lukaku go and wondered where all the reported money had gone.

Indeed, some fans expressed their concerns behind not signing a replacement and borrowed the “specialist in failure” phrase from former manager Jose Mourinho to criticise Ed Woodward and the United hierarchy.

Lucas Torreira is now officially back with the Arsenal squad after his extended holiday came to an end. And it didn’t take long before Unai Emery decided to give him his first minutes before the start of the new Premier League season.

The Uruguayan midfielder took to the Camp Nou pitch to face Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy clash that saw the Catalans clinch a narrow 2-1 victory over the Gunners.

Still, it was a good game and Arsenal were even in the driving seat after the first 45 minutes but couldn’t keep the Blaugrana at bay in the second part of the match.

Torreira quickly took to

The Uruguayan has also participated in this year’s iteration of the Copa America with his nation and that’s why he returned to training later than most. Unfortunately, Uruguay were eliminated in the quarter-finals by the eventual finalists Peru.

Torreira himself played three of the total four games throughout the tournament but he was sadly unable to help his country to glory.

The 23-year-old midfielder had a decent 2018/19 season with the Gunners, as well.

He played a total of 50 games across all competitions and managed to contribute with two goals and a total of five assists in the process.
