According to Belgian outlet DH, Liverpool could move for Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Thorgan Hazard in this summer’s transfer window.

The 25-year-old – brother of Chelsea ace Eden Hazard – has been in impressive form for his German club during the 2018-19 campaign.

Indeed, the Belgium international has scored 12 times in 29 appearances in all competitions, in addition to contributing 11 assists.

The Liverpool fans have been on social media offering their views on the transfer speculation.

And whilst there are those who would be interested in taking Hazard from Gladbach in this summer’s transfer window, others are not too sure.

It seems likely that Liverpool will look to improve their attack this summer, but it remains to be seen whether Hazard – also a target for Borussia Dortmund – will be an option for the Premier League title challengers.

ويجب أن يؤخذ في الاعتبار أن برشلونة تنتظره مباراة أخرى هامة أمام يوفنتوس، يوم الأربعاء المقبل، بالجولة الثانية لدور مجموعات دوري أبطال أوروبا.

ومع تأكد غياب جيرارد بيكيه، عن مباراة يوفنتوس، للإيقاف، من المرجح ألا يخاطر البارسا بمشاركة ألبا أمام ريال مدريد، مفضلاً جاهزية اللاعب لموقعة دوري الأبطال.

يواجه المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة، رونالد كومان، عقوبة إيقاف محتملة بعد الاعتراض في مؤتمره الصحفي على قرار ركلة الجزاء المحتسبة لصالح ريال مدريد في مباراة الكلاسيكو.

وأفادت صحيفة “سبورت” الكتالونية أن كومان من الممكن أن تفرض عليه عقوبة من قبل الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم، إذا استنكرت لجنة النزاهة تصريحات مدرب برشلونة والذي أكد خلالها أن تقنية الـ VAR دائمًا ضد برشلونة ولا تساعدهم كما يحدث مع الأندية الأخرى.

وإذا وصل إلى الاتحاد الإسباني شكوى من لجنة النزاهة ضد كومان، سيتم فتح تحقيق حول تصريحات المدرب الهولندي كما حدث من قبل تجاه مدرب ريال بيتيس، مانويل بيليجريني، الذي اعترض على ركلة جزاء احتسبت لنادي ريال مدريد في الجولة الثالثة.

وفي حالة ثبوت الاستهانة من قبل كومان ضد التحكيم الإسباني قد توقع عليه عقوبة إيقاف تتراوح من 4 مباريات إلى 12 مباراة وغرامة مالية تتراوح ما بين 601 يورو إلى 3005.06 يورو.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has delivered his latest set of Premier League predictions ahead of the weekend fixtures, and he clearly isn’t impressed with Crystal Palace.

What’s the word, then?

The Eagles face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, and they will be hoping to surpass the magic 40-point mark.

Roy Hodgson’s side are currently one point adrift of achieving that aim, but they are 13th in the standings and eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Given they have won away at Manchester City and have 23 points on their travels this term, the fact they have the second-worst record at home is pretty terrible in comparison.

They were once again poor in the loss against Pep Guardiola’s men in south London last time out, where they didn’t really start to play until they went 2-0 behind.

It is something that clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed by Merson.

Speaking ahead of their trip across the capital, the pundit said: “Palace are a funny team – they have flattered to deceive and should not be where they are. They can turn in a performance, but not this time.”

Is he right?

He certainly is.

With the quality they have throughout their first-choice XI – and especially in attack in Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend – Palace should be much higher up the Premier League standings than they currently are.

Their home form has been shocking this term – four wins in 17 is awful considering Selhurst Park used to be something of a fortress – and Hodgson has to take some of the blame for that.

The Eagles are suited to playing away because of their counter-attacking abilities, but they need to find an effective way to win matches at home.

Tottenham Hotspur secured a huge three points on Tuesday night – scoring late on in proceedings to record a 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The goal came from Christian Eriksen, who found the back of the net with a powerful strike from outside the penalty box.

It was just what Tottenham needed in their battle to secure a top-four spot in the Premier League table.

There remains uncertainty surrounding the future of Eriksen, who will see his contract expire at the end of next season.

That said, a recent report claimed that Spurs were becoming increasingly confident that the Denmark international would pen a fresh deal.
